The historic Newtown Theatre is the perfect place to host your non-profit’s next fundraiser. You can host a private movie screening or use our facility for another unique event.
The theatre recently underwent a $600,000 renovation that has brought the theatre up to today’s standards of comfort, convenience, and accessibility.
When you rent the theatre, the entire facility is yours. From start to finish, your event will be guided by our friendly and hospitable staff.
Please note: the Newtown Theatre’s management team books all public movies, concerts, and other performances for the general public; movies cannot be screened by renters for the general public. Instead, renters may host private performances and raise funds by selling tickets to members, friends, and family, with no tickets offered to the general public. If you’d like to suggest a public performance or movie screening, please contact us.

A basic light system
A full sound system that can accommodate most bands and performers (additional charge applies)
Microphones if needed (additional charge applies)
Projection capability if needed (additional charge applies)
Access to the concession stand throughout the event if you or your guests wish to purchase anything
Folding tables if needed
Staff assistance throughout your event
You may provide:
Food and beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) - restrictions may apply
Audio/visual presentations
Merchandise to raffle off or sell
