Get into the holiday "spirits" at the third annual Newtown Holiday Cocktail Trail, sponsored by Johnson, Kendall & Johnson. This fundraiser supports the historic Newtown Theatre and is open only to guests 21 or older with a photo ID.

Enjoy sample-size holiday cocktails at a wide variety of Newtown Borough shops, where you can find the perfect gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Some merchants offer promotions to Cocktail Trail participants!

The trail begins at the Newtown Theatre, where you’ll pick up your tasting glass and a trail “passport.” The passport lists each stop on the trail and any promotions available to you, plus local restaurants you may want to visit.

The trail runs from 12:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 22. You’ll get a commemorative glass to sample-size holiday cocktails at up to 15 stores throughout Newtown Borough and enjoy discounts at select merchants. Cocktail recipes will be available at each stop.

The trail begins at the Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street, where you’ll pick up a commemorative glass and a trail “passport.” The passport will list each stop on the trail and any promotions the shops are offering that day. Photo ID is required when checking in.

Blaze your own trail! After you check in at the theatre, you can go in any order you like.

All sample cocktails must be consumed inside the shops. Alcohol cannot be taken outside.

Lunch is not included, but there are a number of restaurants that would love to serve you on the day of the trail. They include: Rocco’s at the Brick, The Temperance House, Isaac Newton’s, Café con Leche, Duck Sauce, State Street Kitchen, Guru’s Indian Cuisine, and Clubhouse Bar and Grill. Some of these restaurants may offer Cocktail Trail specials on the day of the event.

Tickets are available online only starting Wednesday, October 1. Tickets will not be sold on the trail or at the Newtown Theatre box office.
Don’t wait to buy your tickets! This event has sold out in advance two years running.

Please bring your ticket (mobile or printed out), your photo ID, and comfortable shoes. We will provide a tasting glass.

For everyone’s safety, all participants must be 21 or older – no exceptions. When you check in at the beginning of the trail, all guests will be asked for a valid photo ID.

Free street parking is available along State Street, in the municipal lot between Washington and Centre Avenues, or the municipal lot next to Newtown Borough Hall (23 North State Street).

The Newtown Holiday Cocktail Trail is an annual fundraiser for the historic Newtown Theatre! All ticket proceeds benefit the theatre, supporting programming, building maintenance, and our small but mighty team.

This is a rain or shine event. We will cancel only if conditions are dangerous.

No, all ticket sales are final. Refunds or exchanges will not be offered to any guest, for any reason. If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to give your tickets to another person who is at least 21 years old.
