How long does a membership last?
Regardless of the date of purchase, all 2019 memberships are valid from January 1 through December 31, 2019 and expire on January 1, 2020. All 2020 memberships are valid from January 1 through December 31, 2020 and expire on January 1, 2021.
What happens after I purchase a membership?
You’ll receive a receipt via email for your membership. Then, we’ll mail you a membership letter that contains your membership card. Pop the card out of the letter and store it somewhere safe.
You'll need to show it to our staff every time you use your membership benefits at the theatre, and you’ll need your personalized access code on the card to purchase discounted tickets online.
How do I give someone a gift membership?
Newtown Theatre memberships make a great gift! Here’s how to give someone a membership:
Select the membership level you’d like to give
Select “Purchasing a membership for someone else” at the top of the membership form
Complete the form with your information, including your phone number and email
Submit payment as usual
Once we receive your order, we’ll mail you a letter that you can give to the recipient. You can open the envelope if you’d like and put the inside membership letter in a card, or you can give the envelope directly to the recipient. The letter does not contain a receipt or purchase amount.
If you’re not local or you can’t hand-deliver the gift, please let us know in the comments box. We’ll send you the gift membership via email and you can forward it or deliver it any way you’d like.
I was given a gift membership. How do I redeem it?
If someone recently gave you a gift membership (lucky you!), follow the instructions on your welcome letter:
Select the correct membership level from the drop-down at the top of this page
Select “Redeeming a gift membership purchased for me” at the top of the membership form
Complete the form, including your mailing address, phone number, and email address
On the payment form, enter the coupon code provided in your letter, and your membership will be free!
We’ll mail your new membership card at the address you provide.
Can I fill out a paper form? Can I pay with a check or cash?
Because we have so many folks to keep track of, we cannot accept membership forms or payment in person. All Newtown Theatre memberships must be initiated or renewed on our website so that we have everyone's information in one central location. You can pay with a credit card or PayPal account.
I lost my membership card.
Let us know the name(s) on your membership, and we’ll send you a replacement card.
How will I know when it's time to renew?
We will send you a reminder letter at the mailing address you provide when you register.
Is my membership tax-deductible?
Yes, all memberships are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
I am a subscriber to the Newtown Arts Company. Does that mean I have a Newtown Theatre membership?
The Newtown Arts Company puts on numerous musicals and plays each year at the Newtown Theatre but is a separate entity from the Newtown Theatre itself.
Members of the Newtown Theatre receive free popcorn at all Newtown Arts Company shows, but Newtown Arts Company subscriptions are not connected to the Newtown Theatre membership program in any way.
