The Jerk

Navin (Steve Martin) believes he was born a poor black child in Mississippi. He is, however, actually white. Upon figuring this out, he heads north to St. Louis to find himself. After landing a job at a gas station, Navin is excited to discover his name printed in the new phone book. This ratification of his existence leads him from one misadventure to another: he invents gadgets, dodges bullets, joins the carnival and seeks love in the arms of beautiful Marie (Bernadette Peters).

They’re on a mission from God.

The Blues Brothers will return to the big screen for one night only on Saturday, August 17 at 8 PM.

Direct out of jail, Jake Blues (John Belushi) and his brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) are off on a “mission from God” to raise funds for the orphanage in which they grew up. The only thing they can do is do what they do best: play music.

This fun-filled night will feature a signature cocktail for purchase and a free movie pass for anyone dressed as the iconic brothers.

Three Stooges Film Fest

Fans of the Three Stooges are invited to our third annual screening of Stooges shorts on the big screen!

On Sunday, June 23, from 1-3 PM, Michelle Squiccimara of The Stoogeum in Ambler will host the screening event and introduce each short film:

  • Movie Maniacs (1936)

  • Grips Grunts and Groans (1937)

  • We Want Our Mummy (1939)

  • Sing a Song of Six Pants (1947)

  • Love at First Bite (1950)

All ticket sales are final. No refunds, no exceptions. A mobile or hard copy ticket is okay—all tickets will be scanned at the door. The name on the ticket does not have to match the name of the attendee.

All proceeds benefit the non-profit Newtown Theatre, the oldest continuously operating movie house in the United States.

Kids 10 and younger: help us decorate the program cover! Your artwork could be pictured on the concert program, and there are also prizes for runners-up. This year’s theme is Peter and the Wolf. Children must be 10 or younger to participate. Artwork may be in color but will be printed in black and white. Click here to download the entry form.

Tickets are available online or at the door. All tickets purchased online will be scanned at the door.

For children 12 and younger, online tickets are free, and tickets bought at the door are $5.

For adult tickets (older than 12), online tickets are $10 plus service fee, and tickets bought at the door are $15.
