ABOUT THE Band

Join the cast of Hezekiah Jones’s Friends as they spend a very special evening as the Handsome Johnny's playing the songs and paying tribute to the late, great John Prine. The concert will also feature special guest appearances by a number of local musicians.

Prine, a two-time Grammy winner who is widely considered one of the greatest folk singer-songwriters of all time, passed away in 2020 at the age of 73. He was known for his raspy voice, simple guitar strumming, and his heartfelt, cutting and often hilarious lyrics. After a 13-year gap, Prine released what turned out to be his final album, “The Tree of Forgiveness,” in 2018.
