Private Recitals, Concerts and Performances

YOUR Show Must Go On
Dance, music and other performance teachers are invited to host recitals or concerts on the stage of the historic Newtown Theatre. The theatre recently underwent a $600,000 renovation that has brought the facility up to today’s standards of comfort, convenience, and accessibility.
When you rent the theatre, the entire facility is yours. From start to finish, your event will be guided by our friendly and hospitable staff.
Please note: the Newtown Theatre’s management team books all public concerts and shows for the general public; public shows cannot be offered by renters. Renters may host private recitals or concerts attended by friends and family of the performers, with no tickets offered to the general public. If you’d like to suggest a public performance of a band, magician, or other performer, please contact us.
What We Offer
The Newtown Theatre provides:
A green room in the basement with a single restroom and two dressing rooms
A basic light system
Projection capability if needed (additional charge applies)
A full sound system that can accommodate most bands and performers (additional charge applies)
Microphones (additional charge applies)
Access to the concession stand for guests to purchase refreshments
Folding tables if needed
WiFi throughout the building
Staff assistance throughout your event
You may provide:
Food and beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) - restrictions may apply
Audio/visual presentations
Merchandise, literature, or other giveaways for guests
