ABOUT THE MOVIE

Released in 1988, “My Neighbor Totoro” follows two young sisters, Satsuki and Mei, who move to the countryside with their father while their mother recovers in a nearby hospital. As they explore their new surroundings, they encounter gentle forest spirits—most notably the large, magical Totoro—who bring wonder, comfort, and a touch of adventure to their lives.
