The Movie Club pick for January is It Happened One Night (1934).
Each Movie Club film is introduced by Emmy Award winner and film historian Joe Amodei, President/CEO of Virgil Films & Entertainment. After the movie, Joe will be joined by a special guest for a conversation with the audience about the film.

Movie Club is now “donate what you wish” for Newtown Theatre members. Tickets can still be reserved for free online so we know how many to expect. You can also include a donation that feels right to you when reserving your tickets online. You can also drop cash into our vintage popcorn machine, scan the Venmo QR code on the popcorn machine, or donate at the concession stand with your credit card.
Synopsis
A rogue reporter trailing a runaway heiress for a big story joins her on a bus heading from Florida to New York and they end up stuck with each other when the bus leaves them behind at one of the stops along the way.

All ticket sales are final. Please be aware of what event you are buying tickets for. Refunds or ticket exchanges will not be offered. If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else.

EVENT DETAILS
Doors open at 7 PM and the event starts at 7:30 PM.
Seating is first come, first served. We recommend arriving early if you would like to secure your favorite seats.
Beer, wine and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the event.
Free parking is available along North State Street, in the municipal lot between Washington and Centre Avenue, and in the municipal lot next to Newtown Borough Hall (23 North State Street).
We have a wheelchair lift on our front porch and an accessible restroom on the first floor. There are no steps to climb to access the first floor of the auditorium. There are steps to the balcony.
