Move over popcorn, butter has a new best friend! The historic Newtown Theatre is once again teaming up with Mamie Colette Bakery for a Croissant Happy Hour and French movie.
This whimsical event begins at Mamie Colette’s with an after-hours croissant happy hour featuring “croissanterie boards” and drinks from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. During this hour, guests will enjoy a variety of freshly baked mini croissants, cheese, fresh fruit, and drinks.
At 7:00 PM, guests will begin making their way down State Street to the Newtown Theatre for a 7:30 screening of The Intouchables.
Synopsis
Released in 2011, The Intouchables is a warmhearted French comedy-drama about the unlikely friendship between Philippe, a wealthy Parisian aristocrat who is quadriplegic, and Driss, a charismatic young man from the projects who becomes his caregiver. Through humor, honesty and mutual respect, the two men profoundly change each other’s lives.
