Peter and the Wolf

  • The Newtown Theatre 120 North State Street Newtown, PA 18940 (map)

The historic Newtown Theatre will host the Newtown Chamber Orchestra’s annual performance of Peter and the Wolf on Sunday, April 14 at 3:00 PM.

This narrated, family-friendly concert includes audience participation and an instrumental “petting zoo” that gives children the chance to touch musical instruments and speak with their players.

Children and adults will discover the beauty of live classical music and enjoy a fun and nurturing educational experience. The concert’s length and content are sensitive to the attention span of young children.

Online tickets are $27 for adults, $22 for theatre members, and $17 for children 12 and under. Tickets purchased at the door on the day of the performance are $25 for everyone.

All seating is general admission.

HISTORIC RENOVATION FEE

In the summer of 2024, the historic Newtown Theatre will undertake Phase II of its master renovation plan, which includes renovating our balcony and expanding and improving our basement restrooms. To help pay for these exciting upgrades, we have implemented a $2 historic renovation fee on every ticket of $15 or more. This fee is just one part of an overall plan to raise the $600,000 required to make these upgrades. Thank you for supporting your historic hometown theatre!
