The Story of Plastic (Documentary)

  • The Newtown Theatre 120 North State Street Newtown, PA 18940 (map)

Co-hosted with Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve

The historic Newtown Theatre will screen “The Story of Plastic” on Tuesday, January 16 at 7:30 PM. This screening is co-hosted by Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve and Yardley Refillery.

“The Story of Plastic” is a searing exposé revealing the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling. Different from every other plastic documentary, “The Story of Plastic” presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global plastic pollution crisis and how the oil and gas industry has successfully manipulated the narrative around it. From the extraction of fossil fuels and plastic disposal to the global resistance fighting back, “The Story of Plastic” is a life-changing, Emmy-winning film depicting one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues.

Tickets for this special one-night-only screening are available online for $15 per person or $10 for members of the theatre and Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.

Any remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the door for everyone on the night of the movie (if available).
