Fantastic Fungi and Q&A

The historic Newtown Theatre will screen “Fantastic Fungi” on Tuesday, November 15 at 7:30 PM. Following the movie, Luke Smithson, education director and past president of the New Jersey Mycological Association, will be available to discuss the film and answer questions. This event is co-hosted by Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.

Directed by Louie Schwartzberg and narrated by Brie Larson, Fantastic Fungi is a consciousness-shifting film that reveals the magical world of fungi and their power to heal, sustain and contribute to the regeneration of life on Earth.

Online tickets for this special screening are $15 per person and $10 for members of the Newtown Theatre or Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the door for everyone on the night of the movie (if available).

DETAILS

  • Doors open at 7:00 PM and the first film starts at 7:30 PM.

  • All tickets are general admission.

  • All ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be offered for any reason. If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.

  • Please bring your tickets! Electronic or hard copy is fine. We recommend printing them out (or saving them to your phone) as soon as soon as you buy them.

  • Members of the Newtown Theatre/Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, please be prepared to present your membership card at the door.
