Come see the late Sir Sidney Poitier in one of his most memorable roles. In this mystery/drama, Poitier plays a Philadelphia-based police detective investigating a murder in a racially hostile Southern town. Poitier’s defiant line in the movie, “They call me Mister Tibbs!” became one of the most famous quotes in film history.

DETAILS

  • Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $6 for Newtown Theatre members.

  • Tickets can be purchased only at the box office right before the film. All tickets are general admission.

  • Doors open at 6:30 PM and the film starts at 7:30 PM.

  • Members, please be prepared to present your membership card at the door. If you just purchased or renewed your membership, please let us know.
