Newtown Live: Songs of Bruce Springsteen

The Newtown Theatre’s monthly music series will kick off the new year with covers of popular Bruce Springsteen songs on Friday, February 1 at 8 PM.

A handful of local musicians will perform separately, each bringing their unique style to some of your favorite tunes by The Boss.

The doors open at 7 PM for the 8 PM show. Concessions, beer, and wine will be available for purchase before the concert.

Tickets are $10 online (plus service fee) or $15 at the door. All tickets are general admission, and seating is first come, first served.

If you purchase online, a hard copy of your ticket is preferred, but a mobile ticket will also work.

Brad Hinton has been a staple of the Philadelphia folk music scene for over a decade now, having played in such seminal groups as Wissahickon Chicken Shack, Mason Porter, Hezekiah Jones, Spinning Leaves, and others. He is a songwriter and performer, but also an accomplished side-man, continually honing his skills on guitar, lap steel, dobro and banjo. You can see him play around town with Hezekiah Jones, Tin Bird Choir, Tumbleweed, Hinton, Bower, Jones, and his own ever-changing band.

Mat Burke is a folk/rock artist in the Philadelphia region. Mat has the angst of a mid-20s punk rocker, the sorrow of a traditional country artist, and the freewheeling spirit of his folk heroes.
