SOLD OUT - A Evening with Tom Rush, Accompanied by Seth Glier

  • The Newtown Theatre 120 North State Street Newtown, PA 18940 (map)

SOLD OUT!

The historic Newtown Theatre will present “An Evening with Tom Rush accompanied by Seth Glier” on Saturday, April 27 at 8 PM.

Now celebrating 52+ years of touring, Rush’s impact on the American music scene has been profound. He helped shape the folk revival in the ’60s and the renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s, his music having left its stamp on generations of artists.

As vital and engaging as ever, Rush is still doing what audiences love him for: writing and playing …passionately, tenderly…knitting together the musical traditions and talents of our times. He’s also celebrating a YouTube hit, The Remember Song, for his generation that’s gone viral with over 7 million views.

Rush’s distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world. His shows are filled with the rib-aching laughter of terrific storytelling, the sweet melancholy of ballads and the passion of gritty blues.

Seth Glier will be accompanying Rush. An acclaimed singer, songwriter, Grammy-nominee, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Glier is the winner of five Independent Music Awards. He has shared stages with a diverse list of artists including Ani DiFranco, James Taylor, Lisa Marie Presley, Martin Sexton, Ronnie Spector, Marc Cohn and more, and recorded a duet with American Idol alum Crystal Bowersox.

Online tickets are $45 per person or $40 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $55 at the door on the night of the show (if available).

All seating is general admission.
