The historic Newtown Theatre will welcome Susan Werner to back to its stage on Friday, April 12 at 8 PM.
Over the course of her 25-year touring career, Werner has built a reputation as one of the country’s most compelling live performers. She composes skillful songs that effortlessly slide between folk, jazz and pop, all delivered with sassy wit and classic Midwestern charm.
Werner’s songs are noted for their poetry and sharp wit as well as their astonishing stylistic range. She’s written songs in the style of Gershwin and Cole Porter, gospel music, traditional Cuban “son,” and New Orleans junk piano. Her latest recording of original songs, The Birds of Florida, took flight in January 2022.
Online tickets are $35 per person or $30 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $45 at the door on the night of the show (if available).
All seating is general admission.

Doors open at 7 PM and the concert starts at 8 PM.
Beer, wine and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show.
All ticket sales are final – please be aware of what event you are buying tickets for. Refunds or ticket “exchanges” will not be offered for any reason. If you can't attend an event, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.
